Born in the french Alps, studied in Paris, then London, Nicolas aka Neeco Delaf fell in love with a Swede and moved to Stockholm for “love not money” and started a PhD in acoustics. He’s been into music since he was a kid, listening to lots of his father’s records of soul, pop, blues and triphop.
Starting early he’s been playing the saxophone for many years, classical, jazz and pop music in a few local bands. Turning to producing electronic music a couple of years ago he was first off assembling samples on Ejay before discovering Fruity Loops. He started out with hip-hop songs, then moved on to electronica/downtempo. He also tried some remixing and won a remix contest for a singer called Nathalie Angiuli. Nowadays, he mostly produces a mix of chill, soft house, with some subtle hiphop/ soul influences.
Anthropology will be out later this month on Beatport / Itunes , Spotify and Deezer. It’s a superchill summer nostalgic electronic track with some soft american guitar samples recorded with one of Neeco Delaf’s friends back in London.

What inspires you to make music?
“Life, love, hate, basically any positive or negative feelings pushes me to write something.
Sometimes something comes out of it, sometimes not. I’m usually more inspired at strange hours,
usually late at night when I’m too tired to think too much about what I am doing. My new song
Anthropology started to take shape at 3 in the morning.”
