Premiere: Carl Louis – This Is

Today we are proud to premiere the new forthcoming single by CLMD’s Carl Louis. After leaving the multi-platinum duo CLMD the Norwegian producer Carl Louis has been in the studio going back to his roots and working on the new album Memory Lane (to be released Friday the 26th on Toothfairy)

First out is the smooth nu-disco:ish single called This is reminding us a lot of early works of Erlend Oye and Royksopp. Great to see how the classic Norwegian disco-pop sound stays true to it’s origins without loosing the forward-thinking approach and the dynamics.

Originally a member of electronic duo CLMD, Louis co-produced a number of notable releases including ‘Stockholm Syndrome’, which went multi-platinum in Norway and was also premiered on Pete Tong’s Radio 1 show. Ingrid from Highasakite also sang on CLMD’s first record.

Afterward, Louis left the group in 2014 to pursue his own personal ambitions. Carl’s big love is Arsenal Football Club, and back in his CLMD days supported Madonna.
