Artur Januszkiewicz and Alan Brant were born and raised in Chicago, a fitting place for two house music connoisseurs to lay their foundation. Music was always an integral part of their lives, but they found their true calling at nineteen when they discovered the sound of house. Now, two years later, The Architects are constantly in the studio designing their own take on Chicago’s greatest export: house music.
As young innovators they are refining the musical framework of their hometown and now they release their first ‘blueprints’ to it all. With The Blueprint EP they reach a new level of Chicago sound by incorporating more mechanical influences while still holding true to the warm foundation of old-school deep house.
As the Malmö / Stockholm based label “HMWL” explosively expands, it is a natural step to look across the narrow sea and focus on the birthplace of house. Stumbling upon the productions of Artur and Alan it became clear that the duo’s attitude and sound goes hand-in-hand with the Malmö Crime City natives.
The Blueprint EP received some early support by Âme, Robert Owens, Horse Meat Disco, Piemont, Animal Trainer, Paco Osuna to name a few and got full support from blogosphere getting featured by Insomniac, Technoszene, Different Grooves & The Underground.
We are very proud to have The Architects on board and hope to release even more Artur & Alan signed Chicago Groove in the future.
