Renowned producer, songwriter, and composer Raz Ohara has released his latest single, “Ignited”, today via House Of Frequency. The dreamy and buoyant track marks the second offering from Ohara’s highly anticipated upcoming album, Memories of Tomorrow.
Built on a foundation of vintage analogue synths and rich, time-warped textures, Memories of Tomorrow showcases Ohara’s masterful approach to atmospheric and genre-fluid sound design. The album’s first single, “Beyond and Deep Down”, debuted on Electronic Groove to critical acclaim and earned support from Germany’s Radio Eins, further cementing Ohara’s standing in the electronic music community.
With over 30 million streams across platforms, a summer residency at Babel in Ibiza, and a new album on the horizon, the second half of 2025 is shaping up to be a landmark chapter in Raz Ohara’s evolving career.
Based in Berlin, Ohara is celebrated for his genre-defying style and emotionally resonant voice. Over the years, he has released music both under his own name and through collaborative projects like The Odd Orchestra and Feathered Sun. His extensive list of collaborators includes Apparat, Chilly Gonzales, Luomo, Acid Pauli, and Oliver Doerell, blending a spectrum of sonic influences from Nina Simone to ambient minimalism. Fans of Moderat, Bonobo, and Connan Mockasin will find much to admire in Ohara’s evolving sound.
“Ignited” is a hopeful, uplifting composition anchored by a steady, meandering bassline and hypnotic organic percussion. Arpeggiated synth leads drift in and out of the mix, gradually building layers in a delicate interplay of textures. Ohara’s signature vocals—smoky and reverberant—cut through the haze with emotional clarity and strength.
Speaking about the track, Ohara shared: “This song is about not losing the trust in ourselves. Every challenge or lesson we need to conquer throughout life is only as hard and difficult as each individual is able to take and solve it. We are perfectly equipped for it—we need to remember and rely on this. Also, you need to find the right practices that can help you to stay present, healthy, and strong.”
