Playlist: London-based Thomas Irwin Shares a Selection of Dance Weapons

Building on his impressive portfolio of releases with labels like SPINNIN’, One Seven Music, and DHARMA, Thomas Irwin continues to make waves in the electronic dance music scene. The Doncaster-born, now London-based DJ and producer has already garnered millions of streams for tracks such as the ‘Carnival De Paris’ remake with the late Dario G, ‘Take Me Back To Church’ with The High and ROZZZQWEEN, and ‘Worst Best Night’ with Scarlett. Irwin’s latest studio production continues this momentum, paying homage to some of the genre’s most iconic records.

Lonely Lonely Road‘ is an undeniably immersive showcase of Thomas’ well-refined sonic depth. Stepping into more dancefloor-focused and club-friendly tracks without losing your acoustic identity is challenging. Still, it’s a task embraced by Thomas in this forthcoming single that blends elements of commercial dance-pop and the faster, firmer side of house music whilst tipping its hat to the nostalgic sounds of 90s Balearic club culture in the process.

To celebrate the release of ‘Lonely Lonely Road,’ Thomas Irwin shares a playlist filled with his most recent favourites. Get strapped in and ready to move:

Thomas Irwin – Lonely Lonely Road

My latest release. A soulful trance hybrid with unbelievable vocals from Mulimba and a lot of energy in the drops.

Hotswing – Senstation

It’s just really good energy; I’ve been playing it a lot in my NRTHSTH mixes and live sets. Absolute hidden gem.

John Summit, Sub Focus, Julia Church – Go Back

Love the second drop and the change in tempo, hooked from my first listen.

Eelke Kleijn – Transmission (Joris Voorn Remix)

I saw Joris play in Amsterdam a couple of years ago and always loved listening to his work. Transmission is a great remix!

Wh0, Anelisa Lamola – The Power

Pure positive vibes, and I always love a good gospel-inspired topline!

Bob Sinclar – New New New (Avicii Remix Extended)

I’ve been a big fan of this remix for many years, but I’ve had to listen to Rips on YouTube until recently when it’s finally been added to streaming platforms so I can hear a high-quality version.

jaakob – Palma

2000’s house vibes all over this played out many times and will continue to do so!

Swedish House Mafia – Ray Of Solar

Really unique and just a banger. I heard this live at Creamfields last year and it was just immaculate vibes!
