Timeless Organic and Deep House: Max Porcelli has been playing for 30 years and his vision of the scene remains precise and innovative

The Italian artist explores his multifaceted musical personality with a wealth of experience in creating immersive soundscapes

With a career that spans generations, Max Porcelli has been a DJ and producer since 1989. His creative process has gone through various cultural influences over the last 30 years, but nothing that could blur his straightforward delivery when it comes to the vision of the public and his era. Max has emerged as a respected figure in the north-eastern region of Italy. With a repertoire of over 70 singles, EPs, albums and remixes, his creative skills have led him to collaborate with renowned labels such as Pacha Recordings Ibiza and prominent Italian labels such as Rise, Absolutely, Airplane and Molto Rec. His remixing skills have been used by artists such as Inaya Day, Angie Brown (Incognito), Jocelyn Brown, Oliver Cheatham and many other remarkable names.

We could mention a number of innovative productions signed by the artist, such as “DeePanic”, his latest track recently supported by big names such as Marco Carola, Tjerk Coers (Armada), Joseph Capriati, Rich Hawtin and more; “Want You Back”, a collaboration with British duo Toni Leo and Andy Littlewood, which reflects his timelessness, or “Max Porcelli Ft. P.Bros “Games People Play” on the Pacha Ibiza recordings, a Remix of the Alan Parsons Project released on one of the White Isle’s most iconic labels, to prove his visionary style. However, the reality is that the Italian carries the avant-garde spirit, whether in his old catalogs or in his recent creations. By keeping up with modern trends, the producer has maintained an organic approach to Deep and Organic House, with an eye to Progressive as well. One of his most recent works, “Kora”, is in tune with what has been seen in the new House genres: rhythms of different musical backgrounds, brought to us by the African instrument Kora.

Besides his introspective work in music production, Porcelli also sees his mission in music as something collective. Since 2007, he has been the driving force behind 989Records, an independent electronic label that covers a wide range of musical genres. As part of this initiative, he founded How To Make Electronic Music, where he works as a Steinberg Certified Instructor, offering accessible resources for anyone interested in using technology as a tool for artistic expression and creation. The project aims to create and improve effective learning methods to meet the online educational needs across diverse electronic music communities.

His main career goals at the moment are focused on creating engaging, deeply organic and progressive tracks, as well as continuing to educate others in the field of music production. His desire is also focused on bringing some of his essence to the dancefloors again. The opportunity to perform live and captivate audiences with his productions, curation, wisdom and passion for music will be very much welcomed and enjoyed by the artist – and all of us.
