HMWL – Your musical journey began at a young age, influenced by your parents’ diverse taste in music. How do those early influences shape your music today?

ENØS – We think that being exposed to very different style of music influenced a lot how we “behave” musically today. Indeed, we are by nature curious to hear and discover different genre, bands, etc. This curiosity really allows us to dare try new sounds and innovate.

HMWL – How did your individual projects evolve into the combined effort of ENØS in 2015? What were the key moments that led to this partnership?

ENØS – Michael was doing rock in a band and Derek was doing different style of electronic music, in the beginning it was out of curiosity that we tried something together. The fact that are brothers we were living under the same roof changed everything. Indeed, we spent a lot of time together, it is also the time when the creative chemistry really started and it led to today where we cannot finish a track without on or the other we have to be together.

HMWL – Your previous releases, like ‘Eternal Roamer’ and ‘Edge of the World EP,’ have been well-received. How do you feel ‘Celesta’ compares to your previous work?

ENØS – We think it is a logical continuation. We were always fascinated by emotional melodies, melodies that can trigger something in you. The Celesta project started a long time, it took us months to finalize the project completely. We hope people will enjoy it as much as our previous EPs.

HMWL – What drew you to melodic techno, and how do you think your work stands out within this genre?

ENØS – As mentioned, chords and melodies which trigger something in you, an emotion, a souvenir, a dream.

HMWL – Sequence Music is known for supporting innovative artists. What has been your experience working with them for the ‘Celesta’ EP?

ENØS – We are super happy to work with Sequence. They are fantastic professionals, we felt very welcome. In terms of creative path we really get a long with them, it is our first collaboration with them and hopefully not the last.

HMWL – Your music has received support from notable artists like Tale Of Us and Mind Against. How does such recognition impact your career and creative process?

ENØS – This support can give you, obviously, a huge exposure but also credibility. It definitely has impacted our career, it changed everything it also opened the doors for the releases on Afterlife and a good connection with these artists. In terms of creative process, it is very important to stay your true self and not produce and create for the scene.

HMWL – Describe a typical day in the studio. How do you balance creativity and technical work to produce your tracks?

ENØS – To be honest we both are creatives not really technical oriented (ahah). We use very simple VST and plug. Usually we are more creative in the morning, in the afternoon we try to do more sound design, mixing, mastering.  Now that we do not live under the same roof anymore, sometimes it’s a creative ping pong. One of us will work on the project, than the other one, etc, during that phase of the process we use tons of audio notes, you don’t want to hear all of them (ahaha). But as said to finalize our projects, we need to be together.

HMWL – What elements do you prioritize in your music production to ensure each track delivers the emotional and ethereal journey you’re known for?

ENØS – We think – the chords. Every track we start, will start with chords. For us chords are the heart of the project, based on chords you can wherever you want, especially into emotions.

HMWL – Dream collaboration time: Which artist or band, past or present, would you love to work with, and why?

ENØS – There are so many.. difficult to select just a few but: Mind Against, Justice, Pink Floyd, Tame Impala, Rolling Stones, The Doors

HMWL – As we move forward, what can fans expect from ENØS in the coming months? Any exciting new releases or live performances?

ENØS – We are finalizing a tour in India for the Autumn, we really look forward to going back there. And release schedule is getting quite busy for the end of the year we are super happy about that as well, we have been very productive over the last months. In terms of musical creation, you can expect different sounds, we are trying out and exploring different things at the moment – let’s see.
