After his recent remix of Deviu’s ‘Snow’ Ft. Mira Nait, French producer Aalson returns to Purified Records with his three – track ‘Daylight’ EP. The title track encapsulates the magic of daylight in sonic form, blending gentle instrumentation and glowing synths across flowing basslines. Moving into ‘Echoes Of Dawn’, nature samples are paired with breakbeat patterns to achieve a poignant and touching atmosphere. Closing with ‘Dreamland’, Aalson builds a cinematic arrangement that fuses classical and contemporary elements to dramatic effect.
The ‘Daylight’ EP artwork showcases a magnif icent shot of a humpback whale gliding through the ocean. Humpback whales are known for their long migrations, traveling up to 16,000 miles annually between feeding and breeding grounds. These whales are also famous for their complex songs, which can last for hours and are thought to play a role in communication and
mating. For more information on humpback whales and how to protect them, visit Ocean Alliance (@oceanalliance) at whales.org, a leading resource for whale conservation and home of the SnotBot (yes, it’s as cool as it sounds). Located on the Ningaloo Reef in Western Australia, Daniel Nicholson is one of the globe’s most prominent professional underwater photographers. He seeks to share the beauty and magic of the underwater world to inspire conservation and change.
