Geluk releases “Drowning” by LA Groove Records, with a focus on melody

The single by the Brazilian producer was mixed in Dolby Atmos by himself

As new technologies continue to shape the landscape of the music industry, the ability of artists to adapt becomes more crucial than ever. A vivid example of this evolution is the talented Brazilian DJ and producer Geluk, whose approach includes adopting Dolby Atmos mixing technology in his compositions. He did it recently in his newest single, “Drowning“, which is out by LA Groove Records, elevating the listener’s experience to new heights of immersion.

From the very first seconds of “Drowning” we are immediately greeted by captivating vocals that resonate in a very sentimental way, pulling us into a melancholic embrace. As the melody unfolds – the main element of the song – delicate contours are drawn by each of the notes, but just when you think it’s going to be an introspective journey, a bold bass line bursts in, injecting an energy that propels the track forward.

It’s a masterful juxtaposition that recalls even WhoMadeWho productions because of the contrast between delicacy and power. “My focus is on producing emotion, not labels. I think that’s what sets me apart“, he says.
