Out now, is an indie dance release by Rabih Rizk who is an up-and-coming talent from Lebanon who has released music on labels ranging from Magician On Duty to Pipe & Pochet.
His latest release comes via the Baikal Nomads record label which has become a respected platform with an eclectic sound that orientates mainly around organic house, but also branches into its associated genres ranging from downtempo to Afro house.
Rabih Rizk is a Lebanese artist from Beirut and his latest release features two fantastic original tracks with psychedelic sound design and sensual synth lines in the style he has also released via the likes of Magician On Duty.
Also on the release are two remix versions, the first is a solo melodic house rework by Dario Klein of labels such as Ritter Butzke Records and Bar 25. The second remix is an organic house collaboration between Matija and Richard Elcox who together have worked with other labels such as Cosmic Awakenings.
Baraka is the first track and it opens the EP with the call and response of a marching groove that has the spurting ripples of trippy percussion.
Dario Klein’s remix of “Baraka” switches up the groove and adds a new bassline that gives more of a flowing sound in comparison to the jerking march of the original.
“Come With Me” has shuffling rhythms and a squeaking synth fused with chord stabs and pitched vocal tones that create a bumping groove with jackin’ energy.
Matija & Richard Elcox’s remix of Come With Me adds a menacing acid bassline that lays the foundation for rich organic percussion that forms a new backing track for the original’s pitched vocals.
