Latyshev is an exhilarating organic house producer whose new release features two original tracks, and remixes by Lama’s Dream, Matt Jah and Ksky.
The new release titled ‘Danza del Sol’ comes via Baikal Nomads who are one of organic house’s most respected underground labels. The imprint is a breeding ground for fresh talent and Latyshev is the latest artist to join their roster with original material.
Lama’s Dream and Matt Jah are both artists who have released on Baikal Nomads in the past, and like Latyshev, their style blends deep atmosphere and organic sounds with sequenced percussion.
Ksky is a leftfield house producer who has a downtempo style orientating around analogue synth sounds and machine-driven percussion. His style is less organic than the others on this release, but he has the same deep atmosphere and captivating use of melody.
Danza del Sol is the first of the original tracks, and it has a flute melody as its prominent feature, and vocal chants that add to its organic textures. The sequenced kick drum holds the groove while the track unfolds with swelling intensity, and warm synths start to build from the breakdown onwards.
“Caballos & Arena” is the second original track on the release, and it’s a synth led track with a pulsating bass and a cinematic breakdown with sweeping strings.
For track three, Lama’s Dream provides a chunky remix of Danza del Sol that has reworked percussion and extended breakdown sections that are full of magical suspense.
Fourth on the release is the remix of Danza del Sol by Matt Jah who leaves his mark with delicate guitar melodies and a new vocal. He also lifts the tempo to increase the energy of his version.
Last on the release, Ksky’s remix of Danza del Sol uses the original’s organic percussion loop and strips back the other parts. He works in some new synth pads and his own melody that gives the track a melodic flow.
