ITAI is an American jazz musician who a few years ago turned his hand to electronic music production, and has been building a large fanbase with the help of his organic house releases on labels like Laroz’s Camel Riders and The Soul Brothers’ Talavera Records.

In 2023, ITAI launched his own record label called The Teddy Bear Lounge, which has been releasing a series of one-track releases made by ITAI. Each track is a chapter in an overarching story, and at the end of the series the tracks will be compiled into an album.

“When It Gets Stormy” is the name of the latest chapter in the series, and it’s a unique production that blends synth wave elements with ITAI’s jazz influences. After an intro full of peaks and troughs, the track takes flight with thick synth pads and an electric guitar that gives it a bit of an ‘80s vibe.

It’s an unpredictable track that creates tension on the dance floor with its many twists and turns, which are held together by the groove of the sequenced percussion.
