HMWL: How did you come up with the concept and inspiration behind your latest EP, ‘Weapon X’?

Haddadi Von Engst:  Weapon X is all about AI and the technological revolution that is currently taking place.. The music we make is a reflection of our environment, it is no surprise that AI and futuristic weapons seep into our music because it is the future

HMWL: Can you tell us more about the collaboration with Sascha Braemer and Accent on the remixes for ‘Weapon X’? What made them the perfect fit for this project?

Haddadi Von Engst:   Sascha is a legend and we were supposed to work with him on the last EP and it just didn’t happen, we knew Weapon X would be a much better fit. Accent is a good friend, the guy is a genius, we sent over an early version of the track and he sent back a pretty close-to-complete version the next day.. it was bananas.

HMWL: Your music blends different genres, including melodic techno, progressive house, and Afro-house. How do you manage to create a cohesive sound while incorporating these diverse elements?

Haddadi Von Engst:  We don’t do it on purpose it just happens, we listen to Afro and Melodic house and the finished product becomes a mush of both. Music is fluid, it is all a blend of everything

HMWL: With each release, you’ve managed to climb the Beatport charts and gain recognition from industry professionals.

Haddadi Von Engst:  How does it feel to receive such positive feedback and success in a competitive music scene? We are loving it, we have been blessed to work with great talent, the beatport love is great, we do live in the most competitive place on the planet (Los Angeles) so we feel right at home

HMWL: Your tracks have been accompanied by remixes from renowned artists like Rodriguez Jr., Einmusik, Super Flu, and now Sascha Braemer. How does it feel to have your work interpreted by these talented individuals?

Haddadi Von Engst:  Wonderful, we could not have planned it better if we tried

HMWL: How has your music evolved since your first release, “I Was Blind,” to the upcoming ‘Weapon X’ EP?

Haddadi Von Engst:  Can you identify any significant changes in your sound or creative process? Yea, we are working in the same room again (I was blind was made during the very beginning of Covid). Makes the process way more fun

HMWL:
The pandemic has had a significant impact on the music industry. How did it influence your approach to producing and releasing music?

Haddadi Von Engst:  We started actually putting out electronic music during the pandemic, so we are coming from a different space. In general, the music industry has been changing and evolving, we welcome any progress that allows better music to come out

HMWL:
Can you give us a sneak peek into your future projects? Are there any exciting collaborations or new directions you’re exploring in your upcoming releases?

Haddadi Von Engst:  Ohh yes, two more releases on You Plus One this year with 3 more remixes that we are looking very forward too, Big Tings !!!!!
