Meet Elliott, 29 years old deep house producer under the name Silazar. He grew up in Morocco, spent my teenage years in France and have been in the UK for a bit less than 5 years when he was teaching French but also starting to compose and produce music.

He has explored a variety of genres but recently settled down for electronic music, what we would call “organic house” as this style is what allowed him to express myself the best and pay a tribute to the other genres that have inspired Silazar. I listen mostly to Soul, Blues, Gospel, Jazz, 80’s songs, 50’s rock etc. So for me electronic music acts as a blank canvas on which I can sprinkle all these influences, rather than choosing one.

He composes everything himself, the only loops or sample in the songs are vocals.

Having mostly produced instrumentals for others, he has decided it was time to also play his own tracks in front of people so I’ve put together a Live Set to present them.
