“Breathe deeply, think simply – don’t rush it.”
Up until recently, the Chicago based producer and Dj Derek Chase has been traveling the whole wide world in search of the finest electronic music. Visiting the famous Full Moon Party in Thailand, D:EDGE in Brazil, and then heading back home to Michigan’s Electric Forest-festival, it didn’t take long before he was full of inspiration and gave birth to the moniker HOUSEHOLD/BASSLINE.
Today sees the premiere of his excellent debut single Breathe Deep, a somewhat dark and dreamy house piece with a deep, cavernous bass and lush synth making the track serve a purpose as a musical embodiment of the repeated vocals singing “Breathe deeply, think simply – don’t rush it”. The track is being released January the 18th on Plasmapool/Suicide Robot, a german label hosting Mord Fustang, Pleasurekraft and others.
