Berlin based DJ / live electronic act KNTRL aka Clint Spiteri is back with Stay / Closer. Released on the connoisseur label Off Recordings, Stay is a melodic, dark techno cut with vocals by KNTRL himself. A perfect track for these dark times of the year.

Clint grew up on the small island of Malta, playing guitar and drawing inspiration from bands like Nirvana, The Sex Pistols and The Clash. When the Electro-Clash scene started to emerge internationally, he quickly related to the genre, combining punky elements with synth, pop and techno. “I remember when I first listened to Vitalic’s My Friend Dario – it just blew me away”, he reminisces. He decided to buy his first synthesizer – a Korg Poly Six – and started experimenting with his own music.

He’s come a long way since then and this November he’s releasing his new EP Stay Closer on OFF Recordings, and the EP also includes an excellent remix from well known Italian techno producer Luca Agnelli.
