Kenton Slash Demon – Skydancer EP [WAA Industry / Future Classic, May 11th]

kenton_slash_demonCopenhagens own Jonas & Silas return as Kenton Slash Demon
release Skydancer EP after years of radio silence.

In the borderlands of house and techno, organic and technocratic, nostalgic and futuristic: there we find the sound of Kenton Slash Demon. The Copenhagen based duo has been quiet for a long time, reorganizing and refining their soundscape. They want to create soundtracks for clubs as well as music that you can listen to on your home stereo, thus blurring the space between the public and private experience.

kentondemon-452x319The duo has over the years gained support from DJ Koze, Dixon,
Claude Von Stroke, Brodinski, Luciano and Hot Chip.

With a diverse drive and a thorough production resembling the brilliance of Four Tet each track is a venture in both emotion and soundscape. The loop based melodies does not stick to the standard dramaturgy of club tracks, but are challenging and innovative.

Not to surprisingly we have seen the duo collaborate with Barcelonas John Talabot and Swedens Axel Boman for some great remixes, but now we finally have some new material coming out. ‘Skydancer’ EP (2015) marks the first Kenton Slash Demon release in three years on WAA Industry (their own audiovisual label collective) and comes under worldwide exclusive license on Future Classic.

Watch Kenton Slash Demon live on Distortion, Copenhagen, as they do a dj-set on the 5th and a live-set on the 6th.
