Festival season is fast approaching and Underground Music lovers from around the world, Art and Tech enthusiast alike are saddling up for this years series of events. After being locked in all winter, who wouldn’t want to make the best of the years coming warm weather! Two days during Easter weekend on the docks of Amsterdam, DGTL returns. With an extensive 80+ DJ and live artist lineup, like Resident Advisor’s Top 2014 DJ Dixon mixed in with Jamie Jones, Recondite, David August, Maceo Plex and Âme. To just name a select few of the many artist who have been sending shockwaves throughout the underground.

It’s extremely hard not to get excited about this amazing festival, not only because of the amazing lineup to be. But by reason of their plans for a self sustained festival. Recently in the past years, some festivals have taken it upon themselves to minimize their ecological footprint. Either by switching their source of power from gas/diesel operated generators to solar, wind or human energy. To how they eliminate waste, whether by means of recycling or just trash disposal. It’s fantastic to read all the progress that DGTL has made over the years in bringing awareness for eco friendly events.

To top all this greatness off, DGTL has one of the most dynamic art installation concepts. With this years theme set to ‘Kinetic Art’. Said to conjure up and bring mindfulness to the matter of movement. Expect lots of moving parts, lights, fire, wind and brilliant of creativity to bring all these elements to life. With live art acts like Bella Berlin’s (a.k.a Die lebende Discokugel) eccentric and sensational dance routine. To the Lords of Lighting, reigning supreme over 4 million volts of live electricity! Accompanied by a beautiful Magical Light Parade, plus many more talented artists showcasing their art throughout the event.

Heading to DGTL this Spring is hands down a great direction to start on your 2015 adventure. After all you can’t beat experiencing great music, eating great festival food amongst other novelties in a great city like Amsterdam!
