For a label called Go Deeva, it’s perhaps no coincidence that their latest inclination features a host of eh, diva vocals. Coming at us from Ukrainian producer Serge Proshe, ‘One Time’ is a release that features everything from house to tech-house to progressive pastures and while it’s dizzyingly eclectic – it’s stuffed full of quality from the get-go too.
The ‘Radio Mix’ of the original is proof of the fact. The finest such release on show here, it sticks out from the pack thanks to its many uplifting hues and a zippy bassline that proverbially gets under the skin. Thoroughbred dancefloor tackle, it’s also a versatile weapon that’ll sound adept in the majority of sets. The ‘Club Mix’, as you might expect, is a different beast. More ‘underground’ in sound and less accessible than what’s arrived before, it’s the sound of a producer who’s just as comfortable in either domain.
Anton Ishitun’s remix is a more subtle reworking of matters elsewhere, as he really allows the vocal to lift the track to higher, more hypnotic planes. Trav & Volta then inject it with a heavy dose of energy, ensuring that what we’re treated to is a versatile EP that’ll leave discerning tech-house fans in particular with ample weaponry for their sets. Overall, it’s sterling fare from an as-yet unheralded producer who we might well here much more from soon.
