Kerri Chandler’s Madtech records keep delivering those top releases with epic beats and sexy label artwork.
This time with british dup Mia Dora, who has been enjoying a successful ride of house releases since 2010, when the first got recognized after remixing Roots Manuva. The the remixes for Mary Anne Hobbs and Rob Da Bank followed. Two years later the duo raised the antes again by reworking Romanthony, Grum and Walker & Royce.
On the B-side with ‘After The Dog’, the duo creates a somewhat wet, underground feeling with drums, an insistent rounded sub bass that drives the groove, and some classic energetic chord sprinkled on top of the track . An extended edit follows for those long playing night.
On the A-side ‘You In The Future’ kicks things off, with a somewhat rawer, more basic and stripped down sound. Smoothly shuffled drums lead the way, while cosseting rhodes build up the melody together with a sub-driven bass-line and and something that sounds like a classic organ.
