The Vienna based smooth electronica samurais Tosca reveal a new album full of lovely remixes to be released on !K7 records august the 20th. Richard Dorfmeister (yes same one as in Kruder and Dorfmeiser) and Rupert Huber are celebrating 19 years of their joint lounge house / alternative electronica project. The Marlow & Trüy refix of  Stuttgart can be downloaded for free right here. (well for a facebook like – who counts them anyway?

Tosca are used to have their material and whole album remixes. From Suzuki, my favorite one from 2000, to Opera, J.A.C, No hassle and now finally Odeon remixed.

If ‘Odeon’ was the duo’s sound at the top of their game, still going strong after 19 years, then the remix album shows makes it even more DJ and listening friendly, pulling together well-judged names, old and new, to give their distinctive sound an equally distinctive twist. Think of it as ‘the Vienna sound’ via London, Stuttgart, New York and Paris. An album for everyone everywhere. Kind of.
