Jozif – Lady B’s EP

Culprit are taking it back to the basics. No unnecessary elements to distract you, just pure house music

Just in time for the WMC, Culprit are releasing their new EP and it is nothing short of pure summer house. It might not come as a complete surprise when i say that the man behind it is a UK native. It seems like the british got tired of the gloom and decided to go in the other direction, and that is exactly what Jozif  have done with this EP. Staying true to the signature melody driven Jozif sound, like his earlier release Sunrise I expected to hear that signature groove of his.

The EP took me on a journey and I could not help myself but smiling, with an opener such as Lady B’s Tea that grabs your attention as soon as the first beat hits. It got a summer”ish” feel to it, that kind that makes your hips go nuts. Moving on to Lady B’s Plea and Lady B’s Lullaby which have a more of a pool party character that will make sure to set the tone for the rest of the day, to finally finish it of with Lady B’s Serenade and Lady B’s Boesen which got more of a late afternoon downtempo feel to it.

With a release that have such character, and where all the tracks are easy to listen to without having the urge to skip through some parts I think that it will get its fair share of the attention that it deserves.  In other words, expect this EP to be played lots of times this summer.

The Lady B EP is out on vinyl March the 22nd
