Over the last year, three labels quickly became the new power houses in the deep house genre. Crosstown Rebels, Hot Creations and Culprit. Well now it is 2012 and its time to add one more label to that list. Im talking about Hypercolour.
With releases from big names such as Maya Jane Coles, Youandewan, Mark Henning, Huxley, i could make list longer but i think we all get it. They started this year right where they left off in 2011. Mixing big name releases with up and coming talent. The thing that makes this label so good in my opinion is that they never get stuck in the same sound with their releases. You still recognize the Hyper sound, but not to the point where you don’t have to actually listen with a careful ear.
This label doesn’t seem to be afraid to throw a curveball every now and then. With releases from hot producers like MJC and Huxley to the legendary Groove Armada. And it is not even the signature sound that you would expect, it is something that at least i would not expect to hear from them. This shows the labels diversity and by the sound of this years releases, they could quite possibly be the benchmark for 2012 when it comes to deep house.
