Electronic Treasures Week 17

Mike Forst – Not Sure What to Be Afraid Of

Taken from Mike Forst debut EP “Look The Ghost” the track weaves a gentle web of soulful downtempo beats with ethnic influences reminding us of the early volumes of Buddha Lounge compilation. Instrumental chilled down hiphop at it’s finest.

HOUNDTRACK – Darjeeling Feat. Nestor Estrada

Another smooth electronic ear candy by LA based Need That Music member HOUNDTRACK. Featuring mystical vocals by Nestor Estrada.

Vök – Breaking Bones

Been in love with Icelandic electropop wonder Vök since the release of Waiting one year (with a lovely drone view video). It’s nothing but a pleasure to see the four-piece band come back in full strength with the debut album Figure that has been in the making for three years. Below is Breaking Bones, the first track taken from the album

Dan Hemerlein – Young & Nauseous (feat Katie Glasgow)

An amazing warm yet melancholic indie-pop track by NYC-based Dan Hemerlein, featuring the intriguing voice of Katie Glasgow on the vocals. Comes with this beautiful Lyrics video by Jaron Lionel. Definitely want to hear more from Dan in the near future.

Lex Low – Build Me Up

Can’t get enough of LA-based 23 year old producer Lex Low that got something very special cooking here. Both writing, producing and singing on his own tracks. Build Me Up deserves all the love it can get.
