RedTop aka Jens Bergmark dance music producer, songwriter and engineer based in Stockholm, Sweden is about to release his new track We’re alive. He is probably best know for his remixes which includes Beyonce’s – Single Ladies, Goldfrapp – Thea and Egypt’s – In The Morning to name a few.
RedTop’s foray into electronic music came at the age of 9 when his father purchased a Fender Rhodes electric piano for him after neighbors complained about noise he made on the traditional piano. Soon after that, RedTop acquired his first synthesizer, which coincided with an affinity for ’80′s synth bands like Depeche Mode, Nitzer Ebb and Kraftwerk. By the early 90’s, he had discovered dance music from labels such as XL, Surburban Base etc,
RedTop landed his first record deal in 1995 with Sweden’s Fluid Records under the moniker Bounty Hunter. After releases on Fluid and Detective Records under various aliases, RedTop was selected to remix virtually every act in Sweden. RedTop’s work caught the eye of Swedish House Mafia’s Axwell who recruited him to collaborate on the Mambana project as a writer, producer and engineer. Mambana’s three singles “No Reason,” “Libre,” and “Felicidad,” went on to sell over one-million copies.
RedTop has had the pleasure of lending his production talents to such esteemed artists as: Beyoncé, Tinchy Stryder, Kevin Rudolf, Shontelle, Taio Cruz + Kesha, Chaka Khan, Craig David, Tara McDonald, Alanis Morisette, Solange, Chipmunk, Cazwell, Ultra Naté, Nervo and Donna Summer to name a few. In 2013 RedTop co-founded the Swedish house music label Metron Music.
Now the time has come for Metron Music to release the first ever-original track release under the RedTop alias – “We´re Alive”. “We’re Alive” builds like a skyscraper and when it drops, it drops hard.
