Every awesome year needs one final awesome release to celebrate.  MRTN (Sthlm Beat Connection) revives the one of this summer top tunes by releasing four new Illusion remixes. Just in time for Christmas.

What really impresses here is MRTN’s A&R skills. The remixes despite being nothing but top-quality are delivered by 4 more or less unknown swedes. Thomas Henriksson (member of the LOOP house-duo) from Östersund adds a bit of a trancy feeling to the track speeding it up and adding a killer piano loop. Our favorite Linköping duo Gin & Gin aka Matias Grane & Simon Pettersson destile the original track into a very classy cocktail lounge track for the finest house & gin epicures. Lutar mot Berg (leaning against the mountain in Swedish) remix is finely crafted by Linköping based Alexander Goldhahn &  Adam Stenmark. A slow groovy instrumental rework that reminds me immediately of the new wave of cloud rap and slow trap. Finally the All is that remix adds even more dynamics with slow build up breaks, massive bass drops and additional spoken words lyrics. All is that are the producer Jesper LJB Brunnberg and his MC colleagues Patrick Ray.

With all the four remixes being top quality I would put my money on Lutar Mot Berg And Gin & Gin. This guys might have their big year in 2015.
