Free Download: Martin Emess & Edgar Ariza – HOLD ON (HMWL Exclusive)

Martin Emmes & Edgar Ariza Hold On

Don’t record your next DJ promo set just yet. Here come two excellent new tunes from Malmö based DJs and Producers Martin Emess and Edgar Ariza (aka Ascorbite). And the best part, they are downloadable for free with no gimmicks attached. Hold on by Martin Emess is a trippy, dubby track with a rubbed out vocal sample and a sharp percussion. It sounds a lot like Nicolas Jaar with a slightly pitched up BPM and a somewhat straighter perscussion layer. Perfect summer tune for your midnight beach adventures. Martin has recently released two debut singles – Another Dimension and Haters on UK based Element Recordings. Appart from producing dubby and deep house tracks he runs some of Malmös most excellent underground parties.

On the flip side, another local hero – Edgar Ariza aka Ascorbite delivers one groovy and sharp rework of Hold On. It starts with a progressive intro, perfect for shifting the dancefloor to the next level during the course of the night. Only to plunge into an excellent long break bringing out all the original elements and building up into the next drop followed by a deep bassline and an some hypnotic synthesizer cords. Edgar Ariza recently released the Akribi EP and a remix on the digital label Different Attitudes. Also based in UK.

So please enjoy, download and play these two excellent free tracks offered exclusively to HMWL readers. They will definitely put some color on the dancefloors this summer.
