Joris Voorn‘s and Edwin Oosterwal‘s imprint Rejected Music keeps delivering master class releases one after another. The label started in 2006 have been signing and releasing old-school sounding house tracks with a new-school touch for over 30 volumes now. Future Classics.
For the label’s 31st release Australian house producer Michelle Owen join the forces with the german duo Kruse & Nuernberg and Isis Salam on the mic. The result is a fantastic, groovy and dancefloor friendly vocal house track that you will here a lot at this year’s New Years techno parties and even in the next year. Even the lyrics are modern, bringing up the equality of both sexes leaving the question open wherever the god is a he or a she “God must be a DJ / When she spins we see déjà vues/ When he spins we see déjà vues”.
On the flip side Michelle offers a dubby sunset remix, once again going back to the roots, the classical house chords that remind me a lot of classic tracks like Soul Central’s String of life.
